Dr. Caputo and Armstrong have been proudly serving our patients in Greenville and beyond since 1956.
Dr. J. Gregg Caputo, D.M.D.
Dr. Caputo has been practicing dentistry in this practice for over twenty eight years. Over these years, Dr. Caputo has strived to continue his education and learn from the masters of his profession. His practice philosophy is based on a comprehensive, detailed, and conservative approach to creating optimum dental health for his patients. Dr. Caputo’s practice strives for excellence in attention to individual patient care and customer service.
Dr. Caputo graduated from Furman University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in biology. He earned a D.M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine in 1988. He then completed a two year post-graduate residency in General Dentistry in 1990. Following his residency, he entered private practice in Greenville.
While in private practice, Dr. Caputo has completed hundreds of hours in continuing education. He is an alumnus of the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. He has also held several positions in organized dentistry on the local and state levels. He is a past president for the Greenville County Dental Society. He served as a Peer Review member for the South Carolina Dental Association and commercial chairman for several SCDA Annual Session meetings. He is also an active volunteer at the Greenville Free Medical Clinic.
Dr. Caputo has excelled in comprehensive restorative dentistry involving implant prostheses. He works with several skilled surgeons and dental laboratory technicians that have stayed in the forefront of implant dentistry in this region. His practice also focuses on aesthetic reconstruction of patients’ smiles, utilizing the most up-to-date technology in ceramic restorations, such as veneers and crowns.
Dr. Caputo and his wife, Denise, were married in 1991 and have two grown children. Dr. Caputo enjoys Furman Football games and ski trips with his family. His other interests include cycling with friends and hunting trips with his father. He is also a salt water fish enthusiast.
Ashley – Office Manager
Ashley Brooks has been working in the dental field for over 20 years. She enjoys her part in helping our patients have a top notch dental experience from the moment they enter our office. Ashley enjoys running, reading, attending sporting events with her family and being involved in her church and other activities in her home town of Fountain Inn.
Lexi – Chairside Dental Assistant
Lexi was introduced to dentistry through her mother, who is a dental assistant. Lexi graduated from the Palmetto School of Dental Assisting as a certified dental assistant in December 2012. She began working as chairside dental assistant for Dr. Gregg Caputo in July 2013.
Tori – Dental Assistant
Tori joined Dr. Caputo in April 2016. She graduated from the Palmetto School of Dental Assisting as a certified dental assistant in 2015.

All three licensed hygienists have a combined total of 75 years of experience.
